There were two major differences this time:
- I used candy sticks to make Cake Pops instead of the balls that I thought would be simpler. I bought a long size which turned out to be too big, so I cut each one in half. This allowed me to "dip" the cake pop and get a full coating more effectively.
- I bought candy melts which are specifically designed to melt and re-harden. Most of my problem the first time came from using regular chocolate, which was difficult to work with.
The white cake pops are boring so I added some sprinkles that I had laying around but I still don't love how they turned out. Now that I'm better at the technique, I'm going to focus on better design and colouring.
The good news is they were absolutely delicious. The candy melts keep the moisture in and the cake pops fresh for days.
